This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of Britain’s leading chefs and restaurateurs, Mark Hix.
We are seeking an experienced Head chef to oversee the smooth running of HIX Oyster and Chop House in Farringdon. Mark’s ethos is to serve the best British seasonal produce available. In charge of the kitchen team you will need at least 5 years experience within a similar environment in a senior role and a firm commitment to consistency of production and a flair for creating new dishes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the kitchen team and their development and must therefore have good leadership and communication skills. You will have responsibility for ordering and stock control, maintaining the hygiene and safety of the kitchen and generally ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly on a day to day basis.
